Copyrights
Creative rights, clearly attributed.
At euroanime.uk, Euroanime publishes and licenses anime and manga from Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. The information on this page distinguishes our own content from material originating with creative rights holders, explains permitted uses and makes title-by-title copyright notices available to search.
The difference between rights and ownership.
Our commercial activities can include publishing and distributing works under licence. Those permissions apply only within their agreed scope; authors, artists, studios and other owners do not surrender their rights in characters, stories, imagery or marks simply because an edition has been published.
Original Euroanime content
Where Euroanime has produced original text, layouts, software, designs, branding or promotional graphics, those materials are protected to the extent provided by law.
Works issued under licence
A work may be issued in different territories or formats only to the extent permitted by the rights associated with the particular production.
The original rights owners
The creative and commercial owners associated with the original property continue to hold their intellectual-property interests unless an express notice establishes something different.
Individual work notices
Entries in the catalogue register provide copyright or trade-mark information relevant to individual properties and editions.
Respect for protected work.
Some content on this website belongs to Euroanime; other elements are associated with creators or third parties and appear within the bounds of an applicable licence or other lawful permission. Copyright, trade marks and related protections can apply to both.
Browsing as a customer
Ordinary customers can view our pages and access the shop for personal use in connection with Euroanime’s services.
Permission for reuse
Protected material cannot ordinarily be copied, republished, redistributed or commercially exploited without approval from the appropriate rights owner, except where a lawful exception permits it.
Every licence has boundaries
Permissions do not automatically travel between countries or media. Language, territory, publication format, distribution channel, period and the proposed use may each affect what is authorised.
Understanding the material you see.
Product art and corporate material can have different owners, even when they appear together on the same page. We identify those distinctions so that visitors can understand the role of the creator, the licensor and Euroanime.
Our own brand and website
Our original brand assets, authored website material, interface work and graphics are either held by Euroanime or used under the permissions applicable to them.
Third-party creative properties
The original anime or manga property may incorporate stories, names, characters, illustrations, branding and production artwork owned by authors, companies or production committees. Our participation in an edition does not change that underlying ownership.
Edition artwork and media
A photograph or promotional design prepared by Euroanime may sit alongside illustrations and logos licensed for use with the featured title. Copyright in each element can remain separate.
Buying a copy
Buying a disc or printed book means acquiring that physical item. Ownership of the copy is not ownership of the intellectual property it contains, nor a licence to reproduce or commercially publish the work.
Geographical and format limits
Rights associated with a release may be geographically or commercially restricted. Being listed in the Euroanime catalogue does not imply that every global, platform or format right belongs to the company.
Crediting rights holders
We retain title-level notices where they are provided, crediting the relevant creators, publishers, studios, companies or other rights owners.
Explore title-by-title attributions.
Use the catalogue index to locate a work and review its associated notice. You can search by title or names connected with authorship, production, publication and ownership; each work has one principal entry.
Enquiries to our rights team.
For an intellectual-property enquiry, please describe the title or asset and the underlying issue in enough detail for the appropriate team to assess it.
